The
BMW HR2 hybrid car performs with an output of 285 hp and a top speed of 185 mph. Acceleration from zero to 60 mph in about six seconds. Speed records include a list of eight other flying start and standing start categories. Based on technology used in the
BMW 760i, the
HR2 also uses the disk fully variable Valvetronic valve.
BMW HR2 hybrid car is a prototype racing is not just hitting the showrooms. Technology learned by creating HR2 used in future production models, though. According to
BMW, "BMW will launch a dual-mode version of the current 7 Series during the production cycle of the current model, which introduced the first car of its kind able to run on both hydrogen and gasoline."
BMW had better hope that the hydrogen highway that happens sooner rather than later, so do not miss the sale of gasoline-electric hybrid cars on the market that will flower over the next 5 years. BMW believes hydrogen, though, so when places to start stimulating the economy in H2,
HR2 is ready.
