The GT3 DBRS9 replace the Vantage, which was launched in 2006 in Le Mans, and has since seen 26 chassis built and led to several victories in the series of national and international in the world by winning the Australian GT at Mount Panorama in October last years and achieve a podium in Zolder last week. The new GT3 Vantage joins the Vantage GT2, GT4, AMR DBR9 GT1 and LMP1-One to create the largest and most complete selection of cars from Aston Martin Racing today.
Designed with the regulations of the FIA GT3 Vantage will be built around the Vantage aluminum VH architecture with a slight dry sump 6.0 liters car-based V12 V12 Vantage road. The new car will be a race of semi-automatic paddle shift Xtrac gearbox and the final race of the developed systems, ABS and traction control, optimized for GT3 Vantage.

John GAW, Aston Martin Racing and CEO, added: "DBRS9 has been very successful GT3 race car, and despite the fact that more than six years and still very competitive today.
"However, the competition has shifted and we had to create a new car, which combines the six years of experience in the classroom, the last race of technology will continue to Aston Martin GT3 success for many years to come."
Aston Martin Racing has set a target weight of 1250kg, and engine performance target for more than 600bhp and 700 nm. The first car will be completed in July 2011 and performed extensive testing and development during the rest of the year. Ten cars will be built is ready to begin using the 2012 season.
