New Cars for 2012: Acura Full Lineup Info

TL: On sale since May, Acura�s mid-size mainstay receives a modest freshening for 2012, but two of the elements included under that heading�the front fascia and the six-speed transaxle�make it a more attractive proposition. There�s still plenty of brightwork on the front, but the shiny beak at the center has been trimmed to acceptable levels of protrusion. On the power-delivery front, Acura has finally added a cog to its behind-the-times five-speed automatic, and six speeds definitely make for smoother performance. A six-speed manual continues to be available but only with the SH-AWD version. The TL�s V-6 engines�a 280-hp 3.5-liter and 305-hp 3.7-liter (SH-AWDs only)�carry over essentially unchanged. Other updates include bigger wheels (18-inch base, 19s with SH-AWD) and minor interior trim tweaks. Pricing starts at $36,465 for the basic front-drive version; the SH-AWD opens at $40,015.
